Fame and Body

Nothing really exciting about this part.  Go over the frame and make sure everything is the way you want it.   Clean up any weld spatter.  Inspect all the welds.   Overall, I think everything looked really good.

I did want to make a couple of small changes.   I didn’t like the inboard seat belt mounts.  I didn’t think they were strong enough.  They probably are, but I can get a bit OCD about that stuff.  So I welded on some additional steel plate.   My welds are not pretty, but they’re strong.

I also welded some #10 studs here and there to use as grounding points.

I gave the steel a good scrub down, and then wiped it down with paint thinner.  I painted it with Rustoleum, Regal Red.  I used a jam gun that I bought at Harbor Freight for $6 on sale.   Did a decent job for some one who’s never used a gun before.
